Xu Xiaodong too afraid to face the 'Fake Shaolin Monk'?

After the controversial MMA Fighter Xu Xiaodong broke the Tai Chi Master's Tien Ye nose in a matter of seconds, the martial arts world had things to say. Among these, the famous 'Fake Shaolin Monk' Yi Long.

Xu Xiaodong

If you're a martial arts and combat sport fan, you probably already know that Xu Xiaodong, aka Mad Dog, has issued an open challenge to all martial arts masters out there. He's on a mission to undercover fake Martial arts masters.

For various reasons, some masters have accepted the challenge so far and got into the ring with the Mad Dog. Just as reconfirm the MMA Fighter's mission, so far all have failed in matters of seconds. But this time things may go differently.

After his last quick TKO of the 56-year-old Master, Chinese media suggest that Mad Dag may next face the Fake Shaolin Monk. But, unlike other Masters who were frauds, this opponent is a no joke fighter.

Yi Long

The self-declared Shaolin Monk Yi Long has already challenged Xu Xiaodong to a challenge back in 2017 when he wrote on his blog that he would not tollerate Xu's belittling of martial arts anymore, calling him a "shameless fraud".

Now, years after many rumors about their potential fight have been going on for a while, no match has been organized so far. This is what Yi Long had to say concerning the situation.

Will we ever see Xu Xiaodong vs Yi Long?

This rumors have been going on since 2019, with MAS Fight ready to book such a crowd-atracting event. Xu hasn't expressed himslef publicly about this challenge, and from Yi Long has said, these rumors have been created just for attenion. But maybe something will come out of it.

Many people have reflected upon such an encounter, and the general verdict seems to see Yi Long as the faborable candidate for the victory. In fact, even though the Shaolin Monk, as declared by a Shaolin Monk spokesman, is not a true Shaolin Monk, he's an actual Champion with an incredible fighting pedigree.

Yi Long

After having mocked the defeated Tien Ye, Yi Long may be a challenge on a cpmpletely new level. He has already shown his value in what is called the Fight of the Century against the tamed Buakaw.

Once again the hack who writes for this silly Wing Chun page completely ignores very basic facts around the subject matter. Yi Long is not a Shaolin Monk at all. He us not a kung fu stylist. He is a legitimate full contact fighter and his "shaolin" getup is a marketing gimmick. He's a fake shaolin but not a fake competitor. That's what makes his challenge stupid and not worthy of Xu Xiaodong's time. Xu is on a mission to expose "masters" who claim their system is a deadly art and as "masters" they are great fighters. Isn't there any Wing Chun master working for this moronic page that can step up and challenge Xu Xiaodong? You do a lot of big talk yourselves. Step up and show us what you've got.
Hey there, isn't it all written down in the article? I think we clarified it pretty well that he isn't an official Shaolin Monk but a true champion and valuable fighter. We actually talked a lot about Xu on our blog and we support his mission to expose fake masters. In fact, as you have surely noticed, we called them 'frauds'. Have a nice day

Xu only fights older, smaller & non-competitive martial artists, old & long past their prime. When he fought a non-rated Muay Thai fighter who was competing & not decades older, he received a fractured skull. I have no refused for a guy who fights the elderly & non-competitors, often half his weight & size. It’s shameful.

@DJ Bennett You very clearly did not read the article and should be ashamed of yourself for reacting in such a way to your own lack of reading comprehension
