Since he appeared on western social media, Master Tu Tengyao managed to grab our attention. With sharp yet elegant moves, his approach to the system feels like a breath of fresh air for Wing Chun.

About the video
This video is particularly useful for those Wing Chun practitioners who would love to replicate Tu Tengyao's movements and try them out, but haven't developed a quick eye yet. It takes some experience to identify what you see properly, especially in this case since the techniques are pretty fast.
As it is ordinary in Wing Chun when you see a drill or the execution of some techniques, you may think at first that it's too complicated. However, once you start to observe calmly and start to break down the drill into more little parts, you start to see that it's not rocket science.
Master Tu Tengyao
Although he is a new entry into the western martial arts scene, Tu Tengyao didn't start his training yesterday.
As a matter of fact, he is pretty famous back in China, at least what concerns Wing Chun Training. We don't have precise information about him yet, but surely he has been teaching Wing Chun for at least 10 years now. Back in 2014, he signed a contract with Southwest Airlines College. That's not a contract that a fresh teacher receives for nothing.

As mentioned before, Tu Tengyao signed a contract with Chinese Airlines. The purpose was to teach aircrew the basics in order for them to be able to defend themselves. The Airline officially stated without beating the bush that it was more of a marketing strategy, but still knowing some self-defense can only do good.
