Hello there, welcome back.
Today I wanted to propose to you a jump back to the roots of Wing Chun and its main masters. Although it is true that Wing Chun is spreading a lot in these last years, sometimes it is really important to give a look back at the roots.
So, what better than a rare video of Ip Chun?
Enjoy!

This video was uploaded by Clube Marcial on their official YouTube channel. Don't forget to check them out.

Rare Video of Ip Chun

Ip Hok-Chun was born on 10th July 1924 in Foshan, China. He is the eldest of the two brothers, and also the last one alive.
When the Communists took the power in 1949, Ip Chun's father (Ip Man) was a police officer at that time. So, he was obliged to move to Hong Kong.
However, Ip Chun and his younger brother Ip Ching decided to stay in Foshan, where Ip Chun continued his studies.
It was only in 1962 that they had to reach their father in Hong Kong due to the Cultural Revolution.

What happenned to Ip Chun and where is he now

As you may have guessed, or read the article above, Ip Chun is quite old today and, even though he is still in shape, he retired from active teaching some years ago.
He has reached many significant goals in his long life, and he still might surprise us with others.
The following video shows the tireless GrandMaster still training with much younger students some years ago when he was more or less 94 years old.
