Ip Ching - Yip Man's Second Born

Ip Ching was a shy and introverted child, whose only hobby was martial arts. He started learning Wing Chun from his father at an early age and soon became a proficient martial artist.
Ip Ching's Early Life in Foshan
Ip Ching spent the early years of his life in Foshan, China. Under his father's guidance, he trained in Wing Chun and developed his martial arts skills. He was a quick learner and soon became one of Yip Man's most talented students. He was a disciplined student who followed his father's teachings and instructions without question.
During this time, Ip Ching also studied Chinese literature and history. He was a bright student and had a deep understanding of Chinese culture. He also had a fascination with philosophy.
Ip Ching and Ip Chun Join Their Father in Hong Kong
Of the various kids in the family Ip Ching appears to have been the most pulled into hand-to-hand fighting (source) and was captivated by his dad's training. In any case, Ip Man was generally a far-off figure in his initial life, going through much of WWII away from Foshan, and afterward escaping to Hong Kong in 1949.
In 1949, Yip Man received his two sons in Hong Kong. Here, the two brothers continued their martial arts training with their father. Ip Ching also studied under his father's other students.
Ip Ching was a dedicated student of Yip Man and often practiced for hours on end. He was also a patient and kind teacher, who taught his younger students under his father's guidance.
Ip Ching Studies Under His Father's Guidance

Ip Ching's Notable Students
