Shaolin Monk runs atop Water

This completely human monk's name is Leon and yes, he absolutely did just run atop the water. What is that, there was plywood on the water?
Oh yes, I see how much easier the task is now...
The plywood runway was installed by workers before Leon's performance. The plywood boards are less than 1 cm (0.39 inches) thick and you can clearly see how they immediately sink as soon as the staff puts some rocks on them.

Leon started training in 2005 and only in 2009 he was able to run his first 15 meters (590 inches.) and he just kept training until he reached mastery.
However, he didn't succeed at his first attempt. In fact, he re-did the running 6 times before he was able to reach the other side of the lake.
Even though he clearly succeeded, he keeps practicing and is determined to keep breaking his own record.
He stated that the key to his success was to focus on his strength, run quickly, and use what little buoyant force the boards could offer.

Suggested: NOBODY CAN BEAT THESE SHAOLIN MASTERS

Leon is a Shaolin Monk and his performance was a form of Qui Gong, a martial arts technique in which students learn to run up the side of a wall using a wooden plank.

This is absolutely mind boogling! Who needs water skis, when you can just shaolin style it! More power to monk-kind. Sign me up for lessons!

Does he wok on water too? What an amazing feat! I'm simply in awe and also a tad jealous. Who needs a boat when you've got Shaolin skills!

Wow! Talk about water-walking skills! Maybe if I start my monk-ey business now, I'll join in on the action by 2040. 😂 Sprint on, master!
